What is PRP? Can it be done in one with hair loss?
PRP is platelet rich plasma is an in-office, non-surgical, autologous treatment for hair regrowth done using patients own blood so that the chances of any allergy is almost negligible. It is not done is every form of hair loss, prior checkup and evaluation is necessary . Its done only if it is recommended by the Doctor.
In what type of hair loss it works?
PRP injections works best when there is start of thinning and loss of hair. It works best if the process of complete baldness has not started.
How many PRP sessions to be taken?
It can be started after the initial consultation regarding the hair loss and its treatment and what is best for you.
Generally 5 sessions are given at an interval of 3-4 weeks. For maintaining results it should be repeated twice or thrice a year depending on the response and the requirement.
How much time it take? Is there any pain?
Each PRP session will take about 40 to 45 minutes. There is needle pain , numbing cream is used in advance which will be massaged in scalp by the client him/her self 40min before procedure.
Will I have to take leave from my work?
No, you can spare some time about an hour or two from your routine schedule and after the procedure you can join to your work immediately. In some cases just one day off from work may be required.
Is there any complication?
